Most issues are quick to resolve. Find yours below.
This usually means your browser blocked the link or the page didn't finish loading. Try these steps:
This happens when Google’s session hasn’t fully loaded yet. It’s common on a first visit.
Fix: Go back to hellokai.chat and tap the button a second time. On the second visit the session is warm and Kai should open directly.
If it keeps happening, make sure you’re signed into your Google account in Chrome before tapping the button.
Path A requires a Google account signed into Chrome. If you don’t have one, or prefer not to sign in, use Path B instead — it works in any browser with no account required.
Visit hellokai.chat/start for Path B instructions.
Some browsers ask for permission to copy to clipboard. If a permission prompt appeared, tap “Allow” and try again.
If copying still doesn’t work, a text box will appear with the prompt inside it. Long-press the text and choose Select All, then Copy. Then paste it into Gemini as normal.
After copying, tap Open Google Gemini. Once Gemini opens, tap the text bar at the bottom where it says “Ask Gemini” — then long-press and choose Paste. Then tap Send.
Kai will introduce herself and your session will begin.
Google Gemini occasionally experiences brief outages or slow responses. Try these steps:
You can check Google’s service status at status.cloud.google.com.
Path A users: Your session is saved to your Google account. Go to gemini.google.com, sign in, and look in your recent conversations — your session with Kai should be there.
Path B users: Path B uses Temporary Chat, which means the session is not saved. If you closed the tab you will need to start a fresh session. Return to hellokai.chat/start and begin again — the process only takes a minute.
This can happen if a new conversation was accidentally started rather than continuing the existing one. Check that you’re in the same conversation thread — in Gemini, look for your chat history in the left sidebar.
If you do need to start fresh, Kai will quickly get back up to speed — just share a brief summary of what you’ve already covered and she’ll continue from there.
Kai works best when you share openly and in your own words. The more honestly you answer her questions, the more personally she can respond.
If responses feel off, try typing: “Can you go deeper on that?” or “Ask me a more specific question.” Kai will adjust.
The output words only work after Kai has delivered your full summary and asked if you’d like to create something. If you type them too early in the session, Kai won’t recognise the command yet.
If your session is complete and it still didn’t work, try typing the full phrase — for example: “Please create my INFOGRAPHIC now.”
Kai’s outputs appear as text in the chat. To save them:
Path B uses Google Gemini’s Temporary Chat feature. Your conversation is not saved to your Google account, is not used for AI training, and is automatically deleted within 72 hours.
Path A saves your conversation to your Google account like any other Gemini chat. You can delete it at any time from your Gemini history.
In either case, your conversation is between you and Google Gemini. The workbook creator does not have access to your session.
No. Your coaching session uses the free version of Google Gemini. No subscription or payment of any kind is required.
Yes. You can return to Kai as many times as you like. Many people find it valuable to revisit their ikigai after a few months as life and priorities shift.
Simply return to hellokai.chat and begin a fresh session whenever you’re ready.
